INTERPRETERS
We are always looking for interpreters for all languages. Currently we are in need of the following languages: Nationally Certified American Sign Language, Arabic, Bambara, Burmese, Cantonese, Gujarati, Hebrew, Hindi, Korean, Kirundi, Mandarin, Nepali, Punjabi, Somali, Spanish, Turkish and Vietnamese.
We are based in the Greater Cincinnati area and provide on-site interpreting services locally, nationwide and in international locations. Our interpreters work part-time as Independent Contractors. This is a perfect job for someone who wants a flexible work schedule and good pay.
Necessary Qualifications
- At least a High School education, Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- The ability to speak English and at least one other language at a fluent level
- Have specialized knowledge (medical or legal terminology) due to work or educational experience
- Willing to be trained in medical or legal interpreting (offered periodically in Cincinnati for a fee)
- Sensitive to cultures other than your own
- Legally able to work in the United States
- Willing to do screening including: TB test, drug test, and FBI background check
- Able to provide documentation of MMR/Varicella immunizations
- Experienced interpreters preferred

Affordable Language Services is a growing company located near Blue Ash, Ohio, and is at the beginning of a significant growth phase and in immediate need of a Scheduling Associate to be the “face” of the company providing top-notch customer service.
The ideal candidate must be a people person, have a passion for providing excellent customer service and have:
• A high school diploma
• Minimum of 5 years customer service experience
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
• Good sense of responsibility with a team player mindset
• Ability to provide quick analysis of situations & multi-task and prioritize in a
fast-paced environment with multiple changing priorities
• Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office products, including Access and other databases
• Second language preferred – bilingual a plus
This role is vital to our operations and is responsible for dispatching interpreters, handling customer issues, filling emergency needs, scheduling appointments and responding to customer requests. Also handles the training of new interpreters and prepares them for their assignments. They will also provide support and oversight of after-hours dispatchers as well as provide backup for scheduling issues.
Pay range from $20,800 – 25,000 year with health benefits and paid vacation.

TRANSLATORS
Qualifications
- Must be ATA certified if applicable to your language combination or
- Have a degree in translation or in your language combination
- Have completed intensive formal translation at an accredited institution
- If this is not possible in your language, then you must have 5 years or more of translation experience
