Lynn Elfers, CEO & Owner
Lynn Elfers attended the University of Cincinnati and was a former full-time volunteer in Costa Rica. What originally began as a desire to help individuals, grew to become a thriving company. Lynn guided the company through the natural evolution of an ever-growing professional interpreting service working in high-stress locations such as medical emergency rooms to a blossoming company which incorporates all branches of language services. Here’s more on Lynn’s thoughts on leadership from her interview on From Founder To CEO.
Amy Canary, General Manager
Amy is a graduate of Indiana Wesleyan University and holds a BA in Business Management with a focus on HR. Amy joined Affordable Language Services in August of 2016 after working in the SaaS industry for 12 years where she served as both an Implementation and Learning and Development Leader. In addition to multiple years of software implementation, project management, professional services and training experience Amy also brings over 12 years of Staffing operations leadership to the team, both in OnSite services and remote client management.
Amy has worked with several organizations throughout her career on business process optimization that has resulted in millions of dollars in savings realized through technology innovation, workflow engineering and process efficiency. Amy has led efforts across her career that has resulted in nationwide business expansion, new product and service launches as well as mergers and acquisitions.
Amy has a passion for service and leads Affordable Language Services with a “Customer 1st” approach driving teams to partner with organizations to build relationships that bring trust, dependability and open conversation to develop solutions that fit the client’s needs.
Jill Wheelwright, Director Interpreter Operations
Jill is a native of Cincinnati with over 25 years of leadership experience and is a graduate of Mount Saint Joseph University with a bachelor’s degree. She has a diverse background across various industries, including telecommunications, finance and SaaS. A certified Six Sigma Yellow Belt, Jill has spent her career developing scalable processes across industries to support strategic goals, disaster recovery needs and footprint expansion.
Most recently Jill served as the Director of Customer Service at United Dairy Farmers where she was responsible for defining and driving the customer experience across Retail and Wholesale divisions. In addition, Jill led the implementation of Salesforce as a CRM which required coordination across multiple departments and geographical areas.
The common thread throughout Jill’s diverse career has been people leadership. While remotely leading a team in India, Jill developed a deep passion for working within a diverse cultured environment.
Nancy McMahon, Director of Customer Engagement
Nancy is a graduate of the Xavier University and her current role is with Affordable Language Services as Director of Customer Engagement. She works collaboratively with internal and external teams defining and refining better solutions for today’s challenging and much needed Language Service Programs.
Previously with Pinnacle Talent Solutions she was responsible for partnering with leaders in private organizations as they decided to grow their organization and employee base. Working hand in hand with internal associates, client presidents and CEO’s as they defined the value and look of new critical leadership roles – assessing and building from the ground up.
Prior, Nancy spent 19 years with a large full-service staffing company and served the last 10 years on the leadership team as the Executive Vice – President of Sales and Operations (including OnSite and Vendor Management) for Enterprise Accounts. Her responsibilities included managing $135 million region and serving on a select internal team tasked with preparing the company for sale. After transitioning from the new ownership, she started an OnSite Company building and managing a $7 million organization specializing in Staffing and Site Training. She sold this organization to a larger staffing firm.
Our Accounting Team
Kristi Reynek, Controller
Kristi has a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and has recently become a CPA. She is also a certified Project Management Professional and has worked in the Accounting field more than 10 years. She has a strong track record for system conversions, implementations, and process improvements.
Our Translation Team
Nicole Sheldon, Translations Operation Manager
Nicole has a B.A. in Linguistics from Miami University and speaks French, Russian, Japanese, and a little bit of Dutch. She has lived in France and Russia.
