Interpreter Relations Associate

As a part of our mission to provide world-class access to crucial life needs, we’re seeking an Interpreter Relations Associate to serve a critical role in delivering outstanding service. This position is responsible for maintaining long-term, mutually beneficial relationships with assigned clients and interpreters. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast paced environment with the ability to creatively maneuver simultaneous care requests across multiple channels including phone, email, scheduling software, and mass texting platforms. Attention to detail and excellent interpersonal skills are required to deal with a large number of concurrent activities. Success is by filling all appointments with the most qualified interpreters to help alleviate the natural uncertainty and anxiety that comes with approaching an important life event in a foreign language. Essential duties include:

  • Build and maintain effective relationships with all assigned clients and interpreters
  • Take incoming customer requests (via telephone, email, scheduling software)
  • Ensure appointment details are accurately logged into the scheduling system as required by ALS standards
  • Implement, confirm, and monitor appropriate level of interpreter for all assigned appointments
  • Provide creative solutions to fill all assigned appointments with the appropriate level of interpreter
  • Resolve scheduling conflicts (cancellations, overlaps, rescheduled appointments)
  • Analyze scheduling trends and interpreter feedback to maximize coverage and successfully fill all assigned appointments

Qualifications include:

  • High School diploma or GED, Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • At least 2 years in a customer-facing role
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Previous dispatching/scheduling experience preferred

We offer competitive benefits, including health insurance, retirement program, paid time off and performance incentives.  Compensation between $12.50 and $16 per hour.

Recruiting Specialist

Do you have strong customer service and organizational skills? Experience in recruiting people and multi-tasking? Does working in a multicultural environment sound intriguing?  If yes, we would like to hear from you.

To accelerate our growth, we’re seeking a Recruiting Specialist to manage the critical touch points of our recruiting process. This role serves as the point of contact for all requests and inquiries from prospective interpreters until they become contracted partners. Ideal candidates will possess a high attention to detail and the ability to move back and forth between multiple interpreter candidates as they progress from first interview to orientation. Success will be achieved with proven critical thinking and communication skills in all areas of data analytics and operations.

Essential Duties

  • Manage the entire interpreter applicant process – posting a new position through orientation
  • Facilitate candidate language testing and medical orientation
  • Document and track all contractual required documents (language certifications, medical records, personal identification) into ALS’ software and filing systems
  • Lead annual flu shot and TB renewal campaigns to ensure all interpreters meet compliance requirements
  • Actively source new interpreter candidates through multiple recruiting channels – job boards, community events and organizations, etc.
  • Partner with Interpreter Relationship Associates to forecast future interpreter needs by language
  • Manage daily and weekly activity reports related to recruiting and appointment scheduling for all interpreters
  • Prepare invoices from language expertise services to be approved by management
  • Oversee badge expirations; proactively communicate with stakeholders (internal leaders, interpreters) the need for renewals
  • Actively maintain the referral bonus database to ensure timely payment to active interpreters who refer viable candidates
  • Prepare documentation and/or records for annual audits
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • College degree and at least 2 years of Recruiting experience
  • Technical aptitude – Microsoft Office, interpreter software platforms, phone, etc.
  • Proven experience in communicating with a variety of groups at different levels
  • Strong organization and project management skills
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and ability to understand relationships within workflows, steps/status, and how to explain it to others
  • Outstanding customer service skills
